Paramedic Job Description

Paramedics provide emergency care to people who have been involved in accidents or other emergencies. Paramedics are sometimes referred to as EMT's but have variable responsibilities than an EMT. Paramedics can be found within a private health facility as well as within a hospital facility.

We are looking for a skilled Paramedic to join our emergency response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emergency treatments to patients involved in accidents and other crises. You will make quick diagnoses and immediately begin appropriate treatment while en route to the hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dressing injuries.
  • Using specialist equipment such as defibrillators and ventilators.
  • Transport patients to a hospital and maintain treatment during transit.
  • Provide hospital staff with patient information.
  • Write reports.
  • Clean and maintain emergency vehicle and equipment.


  • Degree in paramedic science.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Excellent fitness and eyesight.
  • Previous work or volunteer experience is an asset.
