Our business seeking an experienced Buyer for our business. This hire would be someone who has great knowledge of measured markets. This market research should be consistent for both consumer and business level insights. Our ideal buyer is someone who has keen computer skills, math skills, and previous experience buying in our vertical or a relevant industry.
A Buyer, based on the US National Average (as collected by PayScale in 2019) can earn anywhere from $45,000 per year to $85,900 per year. The variables of salary are dependent on the person's prior experience and their experience buying within that vertical or industry. For example, those with a consumer background might expect to earn less than those who are going into manufacturing and have significant experience buying in that realm.

Buyer Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with our assistant buyers and other senior buyers to create purchase orders, solicit bids and ensure all of our buying is being recorded properly.
- Check all purchase orders for completeness and clarity.
- Ensure that periodic market research is being performed on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Follow-up on expediting orders as needed. Ensure that all inventory is being replenished properly.
- Use critical thinking and proper judgment to evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, and more.
- Work with other buyers to drive excellence and ensure we are on a successful revenue path.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications preferred.
- Data entry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of our consumer or manufacturing business and production process.
- Knowledge of the administrative process of our business.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience working as a buyer.
- Keen ability to make judgement calls based on data.
