Buyer Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with our assistant buyers and other senior buyers to create purchase orders, solicit bids and ensure all of our buying is being recorded properly.
- Check all purchase orders for completeness and clarity.
- Ensure that periodic market research is being performed on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Follow-up on expediting orders as needed. Ensure that all inventory is being replenished properly.
- Use critical thinking and proper judgment to evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, and more.
- Work with other buyers to drive excellent and ensure we are on a successful revenue path.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications preferred.
- Data entry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of our consumer or manufacturing business and production process.
- Knowledge of the administrative process of our business.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience working as a buyer.
- Keen ability to make judgement calls based on data.
