Dietitian Job Description

A dietitian, also occasionally called a nutritionist, is responsible for planning nutritional programs. This service could be conducted for an organization or institution which provides food services. Dietitians can also choose to counsel individuals on dietary needs to help them achieve more favorable body conditions or address health concerns. A dietitian could also work in nutritional research.

The average salary across all experience levels and locations is roughly $61,000 per year. This salary may also change depending on where the service is performed: a clinical setting, private practice, or large institution.
