24 hours notice resignation letter

A 24-hour notice resignation letter is a formal resignation letter informing an employer of resignation with limited availability to transition job duties and responsibilities to a new employee or colleague. The employee is informing the employer that their resignation or end employment date will need to be 24 hours from the time of submitting the resignation letter.

Before an employee resigns with a 24-hour notice, they should heavily consider the repercussions of the action they’re about to take. Dear John —

Please accept this letter as my formal resignation. I sincerely apologize for the 24 hours notice on this resignation and realize this is going to cause some distress on my team and the company. If this was not absolutely necessary, I would not be resigning in this fashion as a sign of respect for the job and company.

As discussed, my final day of employment will be tomorrow, end of the workday at 5 pm on the date of May 26th, 2019.

Thank you so much for this opportunity.
Richard
