Property Manager Job Description Sample
Our property owner is seeking a good property manager who can assist with rental property management. The residential property manager will work closely with the landlord, oversee tenant requests, tenant complaints, rent collection, apartment complex general maintenance, oversee the lease agreement signing process, collect a security deposit from each new tenant, and field potential tenants to the condominium.
Property Manager Duties and Responsibilities

- Show vacant property to prospective tenants.
- Handle all tenant concerns and tenant relations in the building.
- Work closely with an assistant property manager, apartment manager, and regional property manager to report on the status of the building and tenants.

- Work closely with the community association manager to provide tenants with association benefits.
- Generate quarterly reports for our real estate investor group and present the status of the condominium and its current occupancy.
- Walk tenants through the rental rate of each property, association benefits, and general steps to moving forward with their rental applications.

Off-site Property Manager
Offsite property managers can have the following job duties and responsibilities:
- Handles and repairs all building maintenance needs. Through work done by the property manager or hiring outsourced professionals.
- Keeps financial records, transactions, and cash flow.
- Tracks tenant turnover.
- May live directly on the property in a house, apartment, or condo.
On-site Property Manager
Onsite property managers can have the following job duties and responsibilities:
- Schedules and coordinates repairs with the property maintenance professionals.
- Performs interviews and tenant screenings.
- Coordinates lease agreements.
- Off-site property managers don't live on the property, ordinarily.
- Can be hired as part of a property management company.

- A state real estate license is required.
- Previous experience in property management is preferred.
- Previous experience as a real estate manager is a plus.
