A Property Manager is a professional who helps to manage both residential and commercial properties. These properties are usually owned by real estate investment firms. A Property Manager becomes the GM (General Manager) of that property. Meaning they control sourcing leases, signing leases, performing background checks, looking over common areas, ensuring tenants are happy, ensuring tenants are paying, accounting for all income related to the real estate investment, and much more. They are the single point of contact as it relates to the overall operations of the property that they manage and that the real estate investment firms own.
